Ex-Toastmaster Woragarn from Huawei Technologies gave us many insights into some of the latest features such as streaming videos on your phone, and asked us "Do you really want to see the caller, and let them see you too?"

If your smart phone becomes your mobile computer, will you be ready to work smarter, and be able to understand the many new ways to stay in touch with the world. Even our Guest Speaker admitted that he wasn't an active user of Facebook or Twitter yet.

I was once very bad at speaking in public. And I would do all kinds of things to avoid that situation. But I couldn't hide from it for all of my life. One day I have to present my project in front of the audience in order to graduate from university. And I did it very badly. After that I said "I'm done and bye bye to speaking in public". But do you believe that I can avoid speaking in front of people for all of my life????

"Ajarn Nuttapong raised our awareness of the importance of encouraging curiosity and learning activities to prepare our children for a Global Future.

Bilingualism, and an understanding of the need to think outside of one's own culture and country will be essential skills to be able to succeed in the near future. Thailand must raise the educational standards to meet or surpass our neighbours, or risk being followers instead of leaders in the market place.

A life-long love of learning must be encouraged over the pursuit of paper qualifications, and I hope Ajarn Nuttapong was happy to see and hear the stories from our Guests and Members at Monday's Toastmasters Meeting, who are already putting some of these ideals into practice"

The Talk Show - Advanced Project 25

ACS Panomporn, acting as the Talk Show Host, presented her Advanced Project 25 in a simulated TV Studio setting, ably assisted by ACB Dr Veerapan as the Talk Show Guest.

There were 2 Guest Evaluators for this project, CC Orsen from Siam TMC, and CC Wilai from Laemthong TMC.

DTM Pichai Likhitdechasakdi from Siam Toastmasters Club presented a 25 minute presentation on "The Art of Negotiation" at Thai Airways Toastmasters Club.

TOASTMASTERS is for Family Fun

Father (TM Somphot from St. John's TMC) and Son (TM Panond from Wang Hin TMC) were Joint Winners in the Prepared Speech Session on Nov 16 2009 at Thai Airways Toastmasters Club.

TM Somphot presented his Project Two titled "The Crazy Game", and TM Panond presented his Project Three titled "How EQ is more important than IQ".

The audience awarded an equal number of votes to their speeches, so President CC Naiyarath presented 2 Certificates to the Winners.

TOASTMASTERS is for Sharing Experience

DTM Chakrit presented a lively and informative Training Session titled "Hidden Moments" that outlined simple steps we can all apply to preparing our speeches.

There are so many "hidden moments" every day that we can use to prepare and practice - so there is no more room for excuses like "I don't have any spare time to prepare"

TOASTMASTERS is a Tour to Exciting Places

Toastmaster of the Day (TM Graeme) used a Tour Guide Theme for his session on Nov 09.

"Our Toastmasters Tour this evening will cover 3 Exciting Experiences, all of which you can explore without even leaving your seat"
